Razer Tiamat 7.1 Headset

I got this headset on sale for $170 on amazon. I got it February 13, 2013. So far I have found no extensive issue with them. They have a unique 10 driver system that separates the drivers per can as fallows: 2x 20mm surround, 2x 30mm center, and 1x 40mm sub. Having the dedicated drivers for separate frequencies makes music great through this headset. A dedicated sound card is not required but greatly recommended. All you need is 6 analog audio ports, which means most laptops wont work with this headset unless you get a USB standalone sound controller. In my case, my motherboard supported this sound card but not efficiently  Due to the fact that my processor runs the sound controller for my built-in sound adapter I would get feedback (coil whine) from my processor when stressing it out. I got a Asus Xonar DS sound card for $40 which has and OPamp (which is also removable in case I want to upgrade the card later on) that does the audio processing. It also greatly improved audio quality. I would recommend this headset to any gamer as they are comfortable, yet still a bit on the heavy side but I wear these 12 hours straight and do not get fatigued. The leather memory foam ear pads fit snug around my ears and have great noise cancellation. I don't hear anyone and no one can hear me. The microphone is retractable and doesn't seem all that sturdy to me. It is flexible but tends to move back to it's original position. Maybe I just need to break in the rubber. It has great noise cancellation and has good recording quality for a headset. I mean it's no Blue Yeti but everyone on the other end says it sounds clear. The headset has a inline sound controller that allows you to control the volume, and the volume of each individual channel (front, rear, side, center, sub, and microphone). For music you can turn up the bass and the headset will begin to vibrate at high volume levels. As long as you don't turn the bass up too much you can get clear bone dropping bass that actually makes you fall back in your chair. When playing games you can increase the surround volume to help with positioning and footsteps. I highly recommend a sound card with this headset because the drivers sound a lot better when they are powered. Now this headset is not mp3 or iPod friendly due to the need of 6 3.5 analog connections and the use of USB to power the headset. Of coarse you could mod a setup with a standalone sound adapter and a 12v battery pack but it would be a chunky device to carry around pulse you would have to carry the inline sound controller.

Waiting for season 4.

Anyone who waited for season 3 remembers the feeling. The wait was a lot shorter even though airing dates were postponed several times and the rumors that Season 3 was going to be the finial season of friendship is magic had set everyone on ends. We were disappointed when they announced that season 3 was only going to have 13 episodes instead of the usual 26. Some rumors were out that the reason for the less episodes were do to hasbro needing more time to create a my little pony movie. This has not come true so far and there has been no news of which sense last summer. So now we have Season 4 that was announced after episode 11 aired. Well the episodes are official and they are going to have 26. Much speculation came when episode 13 aired because many felt it was a rushed episode that had no built up to the story like many of previous episodes. But the criticism quickly died down as everyone awaits season 4.

Nvidia's 700 series is coming out in April.

They said they are still going to use their kepler style GPU with the GK110 silicon. This a disappointing to those who upgrade every other generation. I am one of these people and this causes an impact on my decision of what to upgrade to. I currently have a 560 which is a Fermi design. I was hoping to upgrade to a 770 or 780 but now that I found out the new series will use the same architecture as the 600 series I might get a 670 or 680. I am getting the idea to switch over to the AMD based GPU. Their new 8000 series isn't expected to come out until late October. The new series is expected to come in at a better price range then the Nvidia series due to the fact that Nvidia will be basing their priceing off their Geforce Titan which comes in at $1500. All new models are expect to just be streamlined versions of the Titan and only consist of 20% higher clock speeds and double the onboard memory. Both competitors are reusing their last year architectures and just beefing up the design. We are expecting that power consumption will only improve by 5% which is a lot less then the improvement between the 500 and 600 series that was a whopping 40% improvement. So I was planning on selling my current card and hope to get at least $100 which will help go towards a new card so that my wallet doesn't get hit as hard. As much as I would like to get the Titan, I still need to buy a car, so that card is out of my budget. The card above is the Titan without a heatsink. That card will be the base of the new 700 series.

So for now i'm stuck with my 560:
FYI: the picture isn't upside down, my system is on a reverse ATX computer case.

Would I rather spend a day at the beach or an amusement park?

For one, a vacation to me is being away from stupidity. People cause stupidity, so I like to avoid people. An amusement park would be the worst place for me. Now that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to be with anyone on the beach, but that I would rather be alone. Lyra and Bon Bon enjoy their day at the beach up there in the picture. Lyra is on the left and thus Bon Bon on the right. If I did spend a day at the beach I would most likely spend the day relaxing in the sun. I would want it to be silent except for the noise of the ocean and wind going through the trees. I would enjoy the day better If I had Fluttershy sitting next to me so we could enjoy the day together. We wouldn't need to talk, just sit together and watch the clouds go by.

If I could be immortal for a day

Well I'd go sky diving all day. Over and over again. The irony of the redundancy  makes this impressive. To say that I'd be landing on the ground wouldn't be quite true. Typically I would land on buildings, people and nuclear facilities. My psychiatrist said I was like a ticking time bomb. I would like to think that too. Now this tale is not quite as nice as the story we knew of sugar and spice, but with all great things comes great responsibility. I consider myself of value and I plan on improving the world one step at a time.

Something Authentic:

File:DJ Pon-3 at work S01E14.png

DJ Pon-3 (AKA Vinyl Scratch)
A character in My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic. Had great controversy about the color of her irises. She was seen episode "Suited for Success" in season one and "A Canterlot Wedding Part 2" in season two. She is considered a background character and has appeared many times in season 3. Being that teens have been starting to curve towards a new type of music they call "dubstep," this character is liked by fans with such passion. So she got quite a fanbase from her appearances  but she was only seen with here sunglasses. Many were curious of the color of her irises. Many had their opinions and strong beliefs of the color but it wasn't until her appearance in "A Canterlot Wedding" where for a quick moment she removed her glasses and then the focus was quickly moved to another character. The moment was so quick that it only appears in a few frames which made it hard for many to pause on such period in the episode. It was reveled that her irises were red or more of a burgundy. Many were still skeptical due to the lack of frames and the lighting of the area she was in made it hard to get and adequate shade. But in the end everyone agreed with the findings and now Vinyl Scratch is know for having red irises.
